Research & Development


R & D activities are particularly important to face the challenges imposed by the market; they are focused on two main fields:

  • Optimization of forging and heat treatment cycles in order to achieve higher performance products in terms of mechanical and metallurgical characteristics while containing production costs.
  • The characterization of forgings produced with new materials and the implementation of the respective manufacturing cycles.

In performing these activities, we can rely on extensive internal and external databases and especially on a finite element simulation software that allows not only to verify the behavior of the material during plastic deformation and heat treatments, but also has the potential to predict the microstructural evolution. 

The results of these simulations are subsequently validated by means of test campaigns that allow experimental validation of the achieved results.
