Forgiatura Morandini manages all activities influencing production quality pursuing a planned, systematic, documented and controlled approach. Furthermore its aim has always been the complete compliance with the requirements of rules and regulations as well as the fulfillment of additional customer provisions.

The commitment Forgiatura Morandini undertakes in the manufacture of outstanding forgings is guaranteed by a technological and state-of-the-art Quality Control Department equipped with the most updated instruments and systems available in the market: for example the automatic US-testing system for forged shafts up to 70 t. through a GE Nuscan System software, and the heat stability test plant for rotors with a diameter up to 2,200 mm.

This equipment is used by operators with long-time experience, supervised by Level 3 certified technicians according to EN473 and SNT-TC-1A classification. The laboratory, marked by its modern equipment, allows to carry out all the mechanical and metallographic tests as, for example the Drop Weight Test for TNDT determination.

Since 1992 the Quality System Programme has been certified by RINA according to the nowadays named ISO 9001:2015. In addition in 2010 the firm obtained a certification in the nuclear field, according to ASME Section III Division 1 and 3 NCA/WA3800 and RCC-X.

This concrete and stable foundation let Forgiatura Morandini reach the Health and Safety at Work Management System (according to BS OHSAS 18001:2007), Environmental Management System (according to ISO 14001:2004) and Energy Management System (according to UNI EN ISO 50001:2011). Through the past years, the firm has obtained the main Classification Authorities certification: ABS, BV, DNV, LRE, GL, RINA, TÜV.
