The forging is the fundamental and core phase of the production cycle. The Technical Department establishes the physical-chemical and metallurgical parameters for engineering the forging cycles in order to maximize the intrinsic qualities of the material. Subsequently the forging profiles that permit to reduce the allowances to a minimum are established. The forging shop is equipped with state-of-the-art presses and manipulators with PLC-controlled devices (Programmable Logic Controller). Furthermore, it is fitted out with a large heating capacity in terms of furnace warranting an excellent thermal uniformity and a local temperature control.

> 7,000 t – 3,000 t – 3,000 t – 1,000 t - 16,000 t
MANIPULATORS:
> 300 t - 150 t - 100 t - 80 t - 50 t - 25 t - 20 t - 15 t - 10 t - 3 t.
FURNACES:
>13 furnaces (9 with stationary hearth and 4 with movable hearth), with a maximum load capacity of 300 tons. All furnaces are equipped with regenerative burners in order to reduce the pollutant ad harmful emissions to their minimum.
